What people are saying about the Safe Swallowing Education Course

Barbara Braithwaite, Safe Swallowing Team • April 11, 2021

We’re grateful for the feedback we’ve had from aged care nurses, loved ones caring for their relatives, those wanting to support the aged care facility or nursing home their loved one is living in, personal care workers and anyone supporting the safety and well being of our elderly population who has been affected by a swallowing problem.

Thank you …

I have finished the course Thanks. It’s very good and sticks to point - that’s all we need to know in aged care.   Karen B.

I have found the course to be very good and very interesting. It is very useful to have this certificate especially in the industry of aged care. I recommend the swallowing course to everyone.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you  Deb S.

It was a great refresher course and clears up a lot of info for the PCW and hospitality workers who may be unaware. Thank you for running it.  Chloe C.

Thank you Barbara. I have completed the Course. I found it very helpful and I am recommending that our Support Workers also do the course.  Paula T.

I found the course very useful and it has taught me a great deal in dealing with swallowing difficulties. As I have a client with this issue. I feel very confident in what I learnt and this will help me a great deal.

Caroline S.

There are limitless benefits to the rapidly increasing use of technology across all ages. Research into high usage suggests social isolation can be an unwanted ‘side effect’.

I read an interesting article a short while ago by Nick Burnett MD Team Teach Australia & New Zealand about minimising restrictive practices and reducing risk for all in aged care, but of course this can be implemented more widely.
