The Safe Swallowing Program is relevant to the Disability and Aged Care Sector. It is designed for carers and others employed by organisations that are delivering disability and aged care services, those seeking such employment, and students interested in the field of disability and aged care management. 

As the second reason for death in disability and aged care facilities, knowing what to look for regarding the safety of your loved one or resident’s ability to eat and drink, is your key responsibility. We want you to be confident and stress free in managing to those with swallowing problems. You’ll be confident at work; know you’re providing the best care and developing your loved ones or resident’s safety in swallowing and therefore gaining the best care in relation to eating and drinking you can provide.
